I mentioned I enjoyed mocking myself, and this pun I have used before. This top was a favorite from Zara and I really wanted to use it again in a post. My friend Alison was the BEST PERSON EVER since we decided to drive around shooting some looks, changing in the back seat of a car was a first for me and something I will have to get used to when it comes to banking looks. What we had planned for was walking around shooting an outfit and then stopping for lunch. She took me to Rodeo Drive for 2 reasons: 1 to walk around to see the area and 2 to shoot a look. When I saw the outside of the Louis Vuitton store I fell IN LOVE with the mirrored and white paneling… location: done and done. After a quick few shots we stopped at a place for lunch, I knew it would be a little splurge but why the hell not? I was on vacation after all. We found this cute little outdoor restaurant next to Tiffany’s and I took in the view. I didn’t care that my outfit wasn’t “fancy enough” for this place… I really just wanted to enjoy my fancy ass grilled cheese that I had ordered. And I mean, it was fancy…
With this look I wanted to bring back one of my favorite belts from when I was a teenager. I used to wear this belt like it was going out of style, to bring that back made me feel like I was bringing back a bit of the old me. As I’ve gotten older my style has evolved, but I always like to stay true to myself. Since I don’t feel like wearing jeans and tee’s every single day, mixing it up with this look helped me find the balance in between.
