Clearly, I have a thing for the city of Miami. This time I was here to party… more specifically for my future sister in law’s bachelorette party. When she told me where we were going I was beyond excited, and I knew that I wanted to wear lots of color. I mean I’m in Miami where bright colors are everywhere.
This really pushed me out of my comfort zone in many different ways…
Night one was after a day of traveling, decorating and overdose of excitement. The perfect opportunity to keep things casual. We went to The Broken Shaker which was the perfect vibe for the night. It was casual, drinks were phenomenal and it was outdoors. I found this top from Vici Dolls (sold out) that was perfect for the night, it added a little bit of fun with the ruffles and brightness. To keep it casual I paired it with jeans and shoes that I got from Amazon. And it was a low heel so I could walk around without looking like Bambi.
The one detail I was super excited about was this necklace. I’ve seen it everywhere with bloggers and of course knew I HAD TO HAVE IT for Miami. This bamboo initial necklace was super cute and definitely pulled my entire look together.
Then onto the pool party….
Firstly I wanted to feel good wearing a bikini. So I started to do Sweat with Kayla’s 12-week challenge last fall. It wasn’t easy, and there were times where I felt so far behind that I wanted to give up. But I kept going. And I’m really glad I did. This wasn’t exactly how I wanted to look but I am still really proud of how far I had come and obviously wanted to show that off.
My inspiration continues to come from Kim Kardashian. This was from a look a few years ago she had done with this coral fishnet/mesh coverup and I really wanted to recreate it. Ironically the style of the swimsuit I chose to go with was from her most recent Bali trip. So hey, win-win in the look for less department!

- ASOS high leg hipster neon pink bikini bottom

We went to SLS’s pool party on Friday… it was definitely tamer compared to the Vegas pool parties I had been to. Maybe it’s because I’m older? Either way, it was a lot of fun…
My hair inspiration was definitely a fun messy beach look. I mean we were right near a beach after all. Anyway, these rings are from Sincerely Jules line with Target. I thought they were super cute and I knew I could wear them again. To get this look: waved hair with a curling iron, sprayed Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Spray, braided small pieces near the front of my hair and added the rings throughout the braids.
I wore this look with these super fun Steve Madden bejeweled sandals. Most girls where wedges to these pool parties but I am not a spring chicken nor can I walk in them. Especially near a pool.
Oh and these sunnies?Amazon. Last minute purchase since I hated another pair I purchased😂
Friday was a long day. After the pool party, it was a rally to get ready for dinner and be out again. This romper is also from Vici Dolls (sold out) and comes in so many colors! I really wanted the pink version but it was unavailable in my size… pretty happy with this blue color though since it was a lot of fun to wear. Apparently, I have a thing for ruffles too.
I wore the same Amazon shoes with this look too. We went to dinner at the Matador which was absolutely delicious! Afterwards, we headed downstairs to the Basement for bowling. I’m not a huge fan of bowling but it was a super fun atmosphere to be around! Plus the entire club was made for Instagram pictures.
Our last full day in Miami was a perfect pool day to relax and some yoga in the yard at our AirBnB. I’ve never taken a yoga class before so I was a little nervous, especially it being 85 degrees outside and I’m in workout leggings. It truly was relaxing and our instructor was amazing. She really set the perfect tone for our entire session.
The last night’s look was obviously inspired by Kim Kardashian West once again. I know she called out this brand for remaking dresses she wears, and to be honest I felt really guilty buying it at first. So let me just state how I feel about the situation: I respect the amount of work and labor that designers go through to make these clothes, it is a dream of mine to be able to afford these high-end pieces someday. But that day isn’t today. Since I can not afford these looks, I shop at “fast fashion” brands. And when I find something that looks similar to a celebrity or influencer, of course, I want to buy it. I admire Kim’s style greatly, we have a bit of a similar shape so I am always looking to her for inspiration… so I guess what I’m getting at is this – sorry not sorry for buying this dress.
This hot pink dress from Fashion Nova was pretty similar to Kim’s so I went for it. Hot pink… me in a hot pink dress?! What is this calamity?!
I went with these nude heels from Steve Madden that I have had forever. Even went as far as to match her hair and makeup the best I could! My accessories were a fun iridescent bag from ASOS which perfectly matched my opal bracelet.
Overall Miami was an amazing trip. I’m proud that I not only stepped out of my comfort zone of color…. but I also worked extremely hard to get into that bikini like Kim!
