Blazer Obsession

Why is it when you immediately put on a blazer your entire mood changes? You can go from “I feel like garbage” to “I feel chic.” Blazers have always been a favorite go-to item in my closet. At a certain point, I had quite a few blazers that I owned. Even a sweater blazer from GUESS… which I may or may not still have in my possession.

I’d like to share a few different ways I enjoy wearing a blazer. All of these have one item in common: denim.

Whether it be a denim pant or a denim skirt. You can never go wrong with adding a blazer to a pair of jeans to instantly create a chic look. This blazer I’m wearing is from Target, my spot for blazers. Both of which are from the same line “A New Day” – I recommend finding a brand/designer that fits you well and stick with them. It makes it easier!

This particular blazer I purchased last year because I wanted to recreate a look from miamiamine’s Instagram. (I did some hunting to show you this link – appreciate the dig!) Her blazer is a designer whom I admire but my bank account doesn’t. Hence why I had decided to recreate the look and Target had what I was looking for.

The gold buttons attract every eye and even give me the heart eye emojis. Specifically for this look, I wanted it to be more girly and chic. I styled this with a Zara tank top (sold out similar here), my favorite Abercrombie jeans, an Express belt to pull the gold more into the look and these sandals from DSW (unavailable – similar here and here). Overall, I’m happy with the finished look and it didn’t take me much time to decide on it either.

Since my blazer is unavailable you can shop similar styles from Amazon or this Amazon blazer or this one from ShopBop.

I’ve also styled this blazer other ways, like all black here:

With this ASOS bodysuit (similar here), Express distressed jeans (similar pair here), same Express belt as above and my Steve Madden booties (sold out – similar pair here). If you are new here then you should learn that I love to wear a lot of shades of black clothing!

Other ways you can style a blazer is with a graphic tee. So many Fashion and Style articles, blog posts, and stylists will tell you that you can’t go wrong with this look. And the best part is that you can pair it with jeans and it’ll still look fun! If you want a more casual look then wear sneakers, if not pair it with a fun heel or bootie. The options are endless….

What is your favorite way to wear a blazer?

Xx Sarah
