How I styled Dr. Martens 1460 Boots

These Dr. Martens 1460 8-Eye Boots have been part of almost every look that I’ve shared on my blog the past few months. Partially because I am lazy to change my shoe for every single outfit. The reality is that I really love wearing this with just about everything – and if you haven’t noticed I’ve paired it with a lot of dresses.

Typically come the winter months I wear a lot of pants, mostly because like every other female its too cold to wear dresses and well we’re lazy when it comes to shaving our legs. It is the gross truth about females, but hey we all do it!

My inspiration came from the new punk romance looks on the Fall Winter runway where so many designers paired dresses with boots. Although wearing a maxi dress and boots to the office might be a bit much, a midi dress (or even mini) will suffice.

When I purchased these Dr. Martens 1460 Boots I really wanted it to wear with jeans and have a cooler style of boots. If you are breaking them in I recommend wearing them in short bursts of time and if you decided to go against that, like I did. Then I’d recommend using moleskin for your ankles/heels – its been a lifesaver!

Dr. Martens have been around forever and it has always been such an iconic 90’s style boot. And much like in the 90’s girls were wearing these with skirts too… like I did here:

I’ve also worn these boots with another piece from Zara’s outerwear. This is such a classic styled tweed coat but these Dr. Martens 1460 Boots bring a punk essence to the entire outfit. You can shop the look here

But if you want to go for more of that punk romance look, then check out this look:

This blazer wrap dress from ASOS was a favorite purchase of mine from last year, and I’ve been dreaming of ways I can wear it again. The silk portion of this blazer dress brings a bit more romance to this punk-ish look. What seals the deal is these Dr. Martens 1460 Boots. I loved the juxtaposition of the entire look. It combines my three favorite styles: punk, formal and feminine.

This statement necklace is from Bauble Bar’s Sugar Fix line at Target. Unfortunately, it is sold out, BUT I’d never leave you without some options.

Outfit details…
