Plaid pants for Fall? Groundbreaking. Zara had these stretchy plaid pants out last year and I picked up 2 pairs – a red pair and this pair. They fit perfectly and I can even dress these pants up for an office look too. I love a good item that can be worn in a multitude of ways – it makes it worth the cost!
I love flared pants – sue me! Express dress pants have always fit me so well and I love that this style accentuates my shape. I styled it to be more casual and edgy since that is my typical go-to look. It is also something that I’d absolutely wear out with friends this fall since outdoor dining is year-round now in NYC.
The fall weather calls for some fall colors, and the best I got here is green. I wanted to style an edgy look for fall that was from items I already had in my closet, and this jacket being one of those items. I picked this green waterfall jacket with leather sleeves from Dynamite about five years ago and it has been a go-to item for me at the beginning of fall. This time around instead of wearing it with jeans I went with my Amazon mini faux leather skirt.
Taking it back to my high school “rocker” days with these pants. Reminiscing of how I HATE labels and a short rant about it.
My most favorite time of year has arrived: fall. Mostly because by this time I am very much over the hot, humid, sticky weather in New York. Once the cool air finally decides to stay we can all get excited to wear all of these new fall trends. Could I decide on which ones I loved the most? HA! You should know me better by now that I’ve chosen a handful of trends that I am in love with and those that I believe are worth investing in.
So while I try to figure out which trend I am going to wear first, let’s jump into what the trends are…
I absolutely live for the month of October, Halloween is by far one of my favorite holidays. These pop-up museums and events have been happening for some time now in New York City, have I gone to any one of them? No. Why? Because I get “Yeah we should go!” and then it never happens. Finally, I was able to convince some amazing people that it was a great idea to go to the Nightmare Machine in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. And let me tell you this, IT DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT! And of course, I dressed up for the occasion…
Fall weather had been slow to approach here in NYC – so I decided to take a leap and splurge on some new items. Lately, I’ve been feeling as if my style is evolving into a new chapter. The esthetic remains the same of what I have always loved – graphic tees, jeans, converse, anything and everything athleisure. For some reason, I feel as if it has gone to a somewhat more mature level. So without any more babbles… let’s jump into what I did purchase.
My daily wear is pretty casual. I prefer comfort over anything, this Target jacket I found is perfect for feeling comfortable and looking presentable. Finding a jacket that can be worn 100 different ways means I am getting my moneys worth, and I am all about having an item in my closet that gives me options.
Faux fur coats are my favorite, who doesn’t want to feel like they are wrapped up in a blanket while you are walking the cold streets, dodging puddles of unknown liquids and weaving throughout the crowded sidewalks of NYC. I spotted this beautiful faux fur jacket in H&M while on my lunch break, initially I walked away due to this very inconsistent weather happening. But I couldn’t get it out of my mind.. I had to have it! I loved that I could dress this look up or dress it down. Today I went a little of both, mostly because it was nearly 70 when I shot this look.
