I’ve always loved white for spring. Yeah sure maybe it matched the color of my super fair skin but it didn’t stop me from wanting to wear it.

Summer is just around the corner and we may or may not still be in quarantine. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t want to dress nice right? Most of us are focused on when this will all be over and we can begin to transition into a normal phase of life. So why not focus on something we can control? What we wear!
You are going to be in shock but I have a lot of colorful suggestions here and it isn’t the language I’m writing either…
When it came to packing for this vacation I did some research. I already had packing cubes from Amazon to make my suitcase look neater and way more organized. Some tips included: making a list, rolling your clothes, packing extra clothes in your carry on (in case the airline loses your luggage), and taking photos of your outfits to make getting dressed a lot easier.
The photos of my looks made things SO MUCH EASIER. I’m sending many thanks to Jen Atkin for sharing this on her Instagram recently. It made my life a lot easier to see the looks and have an extra look… or two or three.
Favorite Swimsuits – bikinis, high waisted, one pieces and more. You can’t go wrong with your seasoned favorites or more affordable trendy styles. I’ve got both!
Have you ever just felt the need to impulsively book a vacation? Where nothing you seem to do can get you out of this funk and maybe it is just time to take a step back to hit the reset button? This is exactly how this trip transpired. I’ve always wanted to visit Miami and this was my chance to do it.
“I may be a beginner at some things, but I’ve got a black belt in shopping!” Phyllis Nefler
I mentioned I enjoyed mocking myself, and this pun I have used before. This top was a favorite from Zara and I really wanted to use it again in a post. My friend Alison was the BEST PERSON EVER since we decided to drive around shooting some looks, changing in the back seat of a car was a first for me and something I will have to get used to when it comes to banking looks.
Summer is officially over. I declared it the end of summer upon my return from the west coast… with my full intentions on wearing sweaters and jeans and putting my dark nail polish on. Yet I returned and it was suddenly summer mid day, maybe it was too soon of a goodbye. So with that said, here are some of the final summer looks of my California vacation…
Swimming with sharks has always been a dream of mine. When I found a spot to snorkel with sharks in La Jolla San Diego my heart soared. DREAMS COME TRUE! Walking around San Diego felt like a different world. I wore my star print slip on dress that I purchased with Serina. It was perfect for the holiday weekend and walking near the beach. I mean look at that sunset. It was amazing to see in person .. something I’ll never forget.
“I want to live in LA.” This is a statement everyone has said at least one point or another, myself included. I was obsessed with the laid back lifestyle, constant sunshine and beaches. Who wouldn’t want to live there?? Even going into this recent trip I wanted that dream to become a potential reality.
After finally getting a job in the concrete jungle & away from the forgotten borough, I fell back in love with NYC. I decided I wanted both… a bicoastal lifestyle. How am I going to achieve it? I’ll figure it out… I mean even this little blog could potentially get me there.
